What is Sandbox?

Developers can use the Sandbox key to evaluate our API with a free 14-day trial. API calls with the Sandbox key are limited to 10 requests per minute, per endpoint. Generated PDFs will have watermarks, and created documents will have the “[DEV]” prefix by default.

Do I have Production access in Sandbox?

No, the Sandbox environment is for testing purposes only. You will need to have an Enterprise account to access the Production key. With Production access, you’ll have full control over document names, no watermarks on PDFs, and up to 300 documents created per minute.

Will I be charged once I start a trial?

Absolutely not. You won’t be charged until you upgrade to our Enterprise plan by contacting our solution expert. Until then, you get a 14-day free Sandbox trial with Enterprise-level access. Even after the trial period ends, you’ll have free forever Sandbox, but without Enterprise features.

How is my API pricing calculated?

PandaDoc API pricing includes both the Enterprise license fee and transaction volume. Talk to our solution expert to receive a custom quote.

What is the transaction volume?

PandaDoc API charges based on the volume of documents generated via Production API. You can generate documents by uploading your existing document or using one of our templates.
