This event planning contract (hereinafter referred to as the "Contract") is entered into on (mm/dd/yy) (the “Effective Date”), by and between [Client.FirstName][Client.LastName], with an address of [Client.StreetAddress], [Client.City], [Client.State][Client.PostalCode], (hereinafter referred to as the “Client”) and [Planner.FirstName][Planner.LastName], with an address of [Planner.StreetAddress], [Planner.City], [Planner.State][Planner.PostalCode], (hereinafter referred to as the “Planner”) (collectively referred to as the “Parties”).

1. Event Details

The event will take place from (start time) to (end time) on (dd/mm/yy), on which date(s) the Client plans to hold the event (the "Event") as described below:

2. Responsibilities of the Planner

The Client agrees to engage the Planner to perform the following tasks relevant to the event:

The Planner agrees to obtain the Client's written consent prior to entering into any contractual agreements or issuing any non-refundable deposits or invoices.

3. Payment

The Parties agree to the following terms of Payment:

The Client will pay the Planner a total amount of $(dollar amount) for the services performed with $(dollar amount) to be paid upon execution of this Contract and the balance due of $(dollar amount) to be paid on the day of the Event once the services have been fully completed.

The Planner will deliver an invoice at the time of Payment.

4. Cancellation Policy

Both Parties agree that this Contract may be canceled at any time by either Party.

4.1 – Cancellation by the Client

The Client is entitled to cancel this Contract at any time. The Client is entitled to a full refund if they cancel up to (number) days before the Event date. If the Client cancels less than (number) days prior to the Event date, the Client will be entitled to a (number) percent (XX%) refund. If the Client cancels less than (number) days prior to the Event date, the Client will not be entitled to a refund.

4.2 – Cancellation by the Planner

The Planner is entitled to cancel this Contract at any time. In the event of cancellation by the Planner, they are required to provide a replacement planner, subject to the Client's approval, which shall be obtained in writing. In this case, the Planner will be required to refund any money previously provided by the Client, with the exception of any non-refundable deposits agreed to by the Client, as a budget for the event or other.

5. Termination Policy

This Contract will terminate automatically upon completion of the services required herein. If a natural calamity such as a flood, fire, earthquake, or another sort of unforeseeable event shall cause you to cancel your event, the Planner shall only require payment from the Client for (describe payment requirements e.g. no payment, deposit, time spent planning, material expenses, etc.).

6. Photography and Publicity Rights

The Client agrees to allow the Planner to take and use photographs from the Event for marketing and promotional purposes with the express consent of anyone photographed and the Client's approval.

7. Liability for Injuries

The Parties agree that the Planner will not be held liable for any injury that may occur at the Event and that the Client will not be held liable for any injury that may occur to the Planner or the Planner's staff at the Event.

8. Dispute Resolution

In the event of any dispute or difference whatsoever arising out of, or in connection with, this Contract that cannot be resolved by mutual agreement, the Parties agree to engage in mediation. If the matter still cannot be resolved and legal action ensues, the successful party will be entitled to legal fees.

9. Severability

In the event that any provision of this Contract is voided or deemed invalid or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, in whole or in part, then that part shall be severed from the remainder of the Contract, and the remaining provisions will remain in full force in accordance with the Parties’ intention.

10. Legal and Binding Agreement

This Contract is legal and binding between the Parties in (country), and each Party represents that they have the authority to enter into this Contract.

11. Entire Agreement

This Contract contains the entire agreement and understanding among the Parties to it with respect to the Event described herein, and supersedes any and all prior agreements, understandings, inducements and conditions, express or implied, oral or written, of any nature whatsoever with respect to the Event. In the event that the Parties desire to modify, change, or add any terms to this agreement, an amendment will be made, and the written approval of both Parties will be obtained.

12. Changes/Amendments

Any changes, amendments, or modifications made to this Contract must be made in writing and signed by all Parties in order for it to be in effect.

13. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

This Contract shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State and/or Country in which both Parties do business. In the event that either Party does business in multiple states and/or Countries, this Contract shall be governed by (state or country) law.
