The precautions that our contractor and their team follow during the process of painting your home are as follows:

• Use of protective equipment such as gloves during sanding and scraping, eye goggles for protection from chemicals in the paint, masks to keep their lungs healthy, and ear protection when applicable.

• The paints we use contain low to no Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs). VOCs can cause nausea, headaches and irritation. Especially for your indoor areas, we use latex or natural paints which do not emit harmful fumes and are water or natural based. For your outdoor areas, we use oil-based paints which, while they contain a higher level of VOCs, are also highly durable.

• We always ensure all of our equipment is safely stored away so as to not be a danger to residents of the house, and always check for proper ventilation before, during and after painting a room.

• Lastly, we follow all appropriate work safety standards enforced by local and municipal codes to ensure that our workers and the residents of the house we are working in are protected from any kind of harm during the duration of the job.

Exterior painting

Your exterior paint job makes a huge impression on visitors to your home. Being the first thing that people see, it conveys pride in your residence and defines the personality of your home.

This will include washing, glazing, scraping and sanding of your exterior walls. If required, repairing your walls will cost extra. We bring our own materials, including primers for metal surfaces. If you would like to choose and supply the materials for the job, let’s quickly work out the details beforehand.

Interior painting

Our standard quote is for a medium sized room and covers the walls and 1 door. We do all the necessary taping for the room to ensure that your furniture, windows, etc., remain clean and that you get an even look throughout.

Additional services

We also provide deep cleaning and waterproofing along with our painting services. If there is any other service you have in mind we can accommodate the same and pricing for that can be discussed as applicable.

A (Deposit.Percentage) deposit is required to start work, with the (Balance.Percentage) balance due upon completion. This quote is valid for 30 days from the date of this letter.

Please read these terms and conditions carefully. By using the services of [Sender.Company], you are entering into a contract with us and agreeing to the following terms and conditions.

"We," "us," and "our" means [Sender.Company], "you," "the client," "the customer," and "your" means [Client.FirstName][Client.LastName], the person who requested our services and entered into this contract.

Contract

The agreed-upon final estimate represents a written contract for the actual work to be completed at a price quoted. Any changes requested verbally are not covered by the agreement unless they are written into the contract. [Sender.Company] will not enter into any dialogue, accept any requests, or communicate with anyone other than the client without express permission in writing. Agreeing to the quote electronically or any other means signifies a full acceptance and commitment to these terms and conditions.

Scope of Work

This quote represents the requests of the client. We will not be held liable for any task not included in the written quote.

Paint color selection

The client must choose colors and sign a color choice agreement one (1) week before the start date. [Sender.Company] will charge an additional cost for color changes made after work begins. Pricing of color is subject to availability and market cost.

Condition of existing walls and ceilings

We assume that plastering beneath papered walls or ceilings is in good condition and is suitable for the treatment specified, therefore [Sender.Company] does not make provision for plastering repairs. The cost of repairs and renewals of any defects that are not visible at the time of estimating will be billed unless we include an allowance for such items in the contract. We will conduct a preliminary inspection to ensure that everything is up to the standard for painting.

Materials

We will provide all necessary materials and labor per proposal specifications. Prices include purchasing of materials at current market price and hence are subject to change. [Sender.Company] is not responsible for the performance or suitability of any materials, parts, or products purchased directly by the client.

Change orders

Change orders or additional work orders become part of the contract once the order is prepared in writing and signed by the parties before commencement of any work covered by the new change order or additional work order. The order shall describe the extra work or change and the cost added or subtracted from the contract. Any changes made to the property without notifying us may cause a delay in the work until we can determine a price for any changes.

Completion timescale

Estimated completion times are subject to change. Although we will endeavor to complete the work within the time frame intimated, we will not be held liable for failure to meet the scheduled jobs within the projected time frame should any unforeseen circumstances, those beyond our control, occur.

Customer responsibility

It is the responsibility of the client to remove valuable or fragile items from the areas to be decorated, remove pictures and other items hanging from the wall, and remove electrical goods from the places where we will carry out work. [Sender.Company] can assist with the repositioning or removing bulky furniture items and goods; however, we do not move (indicate items that you will not move here, such as Grandfather clocks, flatscreen TVs, valuable artwork, or fragile furnishings).

Cancellation

The client agrees to notify [Sender.Company] in writing or by email at least 48 hours before the project start date if they must cancel. If the client cancels less than 48 hours before the project start date, [Sender.Company] will charge a ($Amount) cancellation fee, plus the costs of any materials purchased for your project.

Payment

At the time you hire [Sender.Company], you will be charged (Number) % of the project fee. [Sender.Company] will charge the remaining (Number) % balance the day the painters complete all painting services. If [Sender.Company] does not receive a written complaint from you within three (3) days of project completion, then the project will be marked closed. At such time, no refund will be made for any part of the project fee.

Unpaid accounts

Upon the failure of the client to pay within the stipulated amount of time, [Sender.Company] will employ the services of a debt collection agency. The client accepts that they must incur any costs in connection with the recovery of an unpaid bill. Once the debt passes to the debt collection agency, we cannot reverse the process or any associated fees.
