There are two essential ways to designate a signing order, and which one you use will depend on your use case.

Documents can be signed in sequence, or users can be allowed to sign in parallel with one another. In PandaDoc, this is toggled by choosing to enable or disable signing order functionality in the editor.

If disabled, sending the document emails all recipients simultaneously, and recipients can sign as soon as they receive the document.

If enabled, admins will need to set the order in which recipients should receive the document. After that, sending the document will only notify the first signatory on the list, and the system will notify future recipients when it’s their turn to sign.

Because signatures must be assigned in PandaDoc, teams will always need to know who should receive the document before it has been sent.
