About the Role
PandaDoc is looking for a Mobile Team Lead to join our Application Platform track, focusing on mobile architecture and core UX foundations. This is a hands-on technical leadership role, where you’ll guide the team, shape the mobile architecture, and contribute directly to building the PandaDoc mobile apps on iOS and Android.
You will lead a team of talented engineers, set technical direction, and ensure the delivery of high-quality, scalable solutions. You will also mentor engineers, help define career paths, and create an environment where your team can thrive while delivering impactful work.
As a Mobile Team Lead, you will balance technical ownership and team leadership, making key architectural decisions while ensuring the team delivers efficiently and reliably.
What You’ll Do
Technical Leadership & Execution
- Own and evolve the architecture of PandaDoc’s mobile applications across iOS, Android, and React Native.
- Drive technical decisions and set standards for code quality, testing, performance, and cross-team integrations.
- Develop shared infrastructure, libraries, and components to be used across multiple teams.
- Improve developer experience, tooling, workflows, and CI/CD pipelines for mobile development.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other engineering leads to translate product strategy into actionable engineering roadmaps.
- Balance tech debt and new feature development while maintaining high reliability and performance.
Team Leadership & Growth
- Lead and mentor a team of engineers, providing guidance on career growth, skill development, and technical challenges.
- Establish effective processes for team delivery, collaboration, and knowledge sharing.
- Set ambitious goals and help your team achieve them.
- Recruit, onboard, and retain top mobile engineering talent.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with track leadership to contribute to company- and track-wide initiatives.
- Partner with product, design, and QA teams to ensure the mobile experience aligns with PandaDoc’s strategy and customer needs.
- Drive continuous improvement across mobile engineering practices, ensuring efficiency and predictability.
About You
- 8+ years of engineering experience, with significant experience in mobile development and hands-on coding.
- Proven experience leading mobile architecture and cross-platform solutions (React Native, iOS, Android).
- Strong knowledge of React, TypeScript, modern JavaScript, and mobile development best practices.
- Experience building shared libraries, UI components, navigation frameworks, or developer tooling.
- Previously contributed to delivery processes and improving engineering efficiency.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills; able to influence and mentor engineers.
- Experienced in working in a product organization, balancing business and technical priorities.
- Self-starter who thrives in a fast-changing environment and is customer- and product-focused.
- Hands-on problem solver who can balance technical execution with team leadership responsibilities.
