The problem

Tara is Crystal Ball’s Marketing Manager. In addition to leading lead gen efforts, she’s responsible for ensuring that the sales team has the tools and support they need to reach their sales targets.

Prior to deploying PandaDoc, Crystal Ball’s sales team used Microsoft Word & Powerpoint to create proposals and contracts, which were delivered to clients via email as PDFs.

This process was time-intensive for the sales team, with most proposals taking at least half an hour to create. Once a contract or proposal was sent, the sales team was forced to wait days and often weeks while prospects printed, signed, scanned, and returned their documents via email.

This process caused frustration for Crystal Ball’s sales team, support department, and customers. Sales reps had no way to explore the cause of a delayed signature, and support often had trouble reading hand-written notes on contracts. This led to frustration and errors which negatively impacted customer experiences.

As is common with many growing companies, these inefficiencies and frustrations had impact on Crystal Ball’s overall performance, driving Tara to search for a more effective process.

The solution

Crystal Ball looked at several digital document platforms before narrowing their search to Adobe Sign and PandaDoc. Ultimately, PandaDoc’s stronger feature set and lower overall price point lead Crystal Ball to adopt our platform for their sales team.

Tara and PandaDoc’s customer success team immediately set to work configuring an environment that would welcome and enable the sales team as they create, send, and sign their contracts and proposals. Tara was able to build a library of contract and proposal templates and fill their content library with approved items for use in sales proposals.

Today, Crystal Ball’s sales team uses PandaDoc to create, send, track, and sign their proposals and contracts on a daily basis.

Results

Crystal Ball has seen a great return on their investment into the PandaDoc platform. Their sales team spends 60% less time creating proposals using PandaDoc than they did with Word and Powerpoint, all while creating proposals of a higher quality using approved branded content, supplied by Tara.
